The 2011 Texas Mushroom Festival is Saturday, October 22, 2011 in beautiful downtown Madisonville. (For full festival details and a map to get to the festival, visit the Mushroom Festival Website.)

The MCAC Fund Raising Committee will have a booth in front of the Kimbro Center offering wonderful collectible items, (aka – really neat junk!) This booth was really popular last year, and we encourage everyone to visit early to “get the good stuff!”

The photo contest entries will be displayed in the Kimbro Center, and the Writers Guild will have indoor tables at the Kimbro Center as well, where they will be offering their ever popular anthologies. Individual Writers Guild members will also have some of their own publications for sale.

And finally, several members of our Art Affair group will have booths around the square. Fred and Rebecca Keefer will have their “Good Soap” and “Sunflower Anne” creations on the southeast corner of the square near Legends Steakhouse. Julie Knight and Julie Dean of “Firefly Alpacas” will be in the center aisle west of the courthouse near Rancho Viejo. We have not heard from other members about their booth locations.

Please come out and support the Madison County Arts Council, and the Texas Mushroom Festival October 22. It promises to be a fun day!

The Photos will be on display at the Truman Kimbro Center in beautiful downtown Madisonville on Saturday, October 22, 2011 as part of the Texas Mushroom Festival.
