Madison County Community Theatre in Limbo
At the June, 2011 MCAC Board Meeting, MCCT President Sunny Clouser, and Treasurer Barbara Scott were in attendance, and they lead the following discussion regarding to the current status of the Madison County Community Theatre:
Barbara Scott read a proposal regarding the remaining funds of the community theatre, (which is now inactive). These funds in the amount of $3,097.90, would be transferred to the MCAC treasury to be held as separate theatre group funds until June 1, 2014. If, during that three year period, the theater group should be reorganized, these funds would be transferred to the reorganized theatre group. Should the theatre group not reorganize within that three year period, the funds would become a part of the MCAC general fund. Should the MCAC cease to exist during that three year period, the funds are to be donated to the Madisonville ISD theater arts department in the name of the Madison County Community Theatre. Discussion followed the reading of the proposal, led by Sunny Clouser. A motion was made to accept the proposal, motion seconded, motion passed.
